Win £100 Worth of Argos Vouchers

Why, hello!  Welcome to the new and improved Life of an Expat Parent.  We’ve been working hard over here in the Expat household to make the move to a self-hosted site.  To help us celebrate, we’ve teamed up with Argos who are offering one reader a chance to win £100 worth of Argos vouchers.

Nursery

Planning for a baby can be hard work, even when it’s your second one.  Starting maternity leave last Friday has left me with a great sense of urgency about how close this kid’s arrival actually is.  And if I’m honest, it has left me slightly panicked at times – as I should be.  My hospital bag is currently 2 plastic carrier bags with some baby clothes thrown on top.

I can’t think about that too much or I start to hyperventilate.

So this weekend, I’ve stormed through the house clearing cupboards, we’ve pulled down the infant carseat and Moses basket from the loft,  The Native built storage units for the nursery, and he even painted a room in need of some serious TLC.  It’s been all kinds of crazy as we’ve sorted out the “wants” versus the “needs.”

In order to enter the competition to win £100 worth of Argos vouchers, visit Argos’ site, choose a nursery item that you feel is a must for when baby arrives, and leave a reply on my blog below.

Once you leave a reply, you can use Rafflecopter to earn additional entries.

When my two were babies we found our bouncy chair to be invaluable. I really like the Fisher-Price Rainforest Deluxe Baby Bouncer, if I had a baby this would definitely be on my list of things to buy.

Exciting times! The Duchess was SO excited when she was moved to her forward facing carseat. She loved being able to see me and more of what was going on outside.

Cruise and Groove Ballapalooza – as you would definitely have as much fun as the children!
Also, when opening your new site, it initially read like this – Why, hello! Welcome to the new and improved Life – which made me laugh!! Now reads normally though :-( Have fun over the next few weeks. xx

During the summer months I cannot live without black out curtains for the little man, it helps him from waking up at 5am.
Really love your blog and great giveaway, fingers and toes crossed

    Hello!

Brit, your blog is wonderful, I thoroughly enjoy reading it!
Thank you for sharing snippets of your life with us.

As a nearly qualified midwife! (Can you believe it!!) I couldn’t resist suggesting something that facilitates breastfeeding.

I think that these pillows if used *correctly*, are really very helpful!

Oh yes! And if his activity on the “inside” is any indication, he is definitely going to need help to settle. Good luck!

Brilliant when you find something that works and carries you past the infant stage. Good luck, Nick! xo

Okay so it’s no surprise that my must-have stocked by Argos is Rainy aka the Fisher-Price Soothe and Glow Seahorse Baby Soother. It plays pretty tasteful music (for a baby toy) and I swear that thing is made of magic and awesome. As well you know, being that it made it on to our “essentials to get before the baby is born” list from time spent in the Duchess’s nursery.

For me it would have to be the close caboo carrier, my carrier was invaluable for getting out and about and doing things round the house once the paternity leave/help was over!
